LOWLFE exhibition opens at Bar Opus.
Key and i's art project LOWLFE have had their first public art exhibition open. Its on now at Bar Opus at One Snowhill, Birmingham and will run until September. Being our first exhibition it was a huge learning curb for both of us. Despite knowing about the exhibition for months we naturally left ourself with only three days to prepare. That time included creating the actual pieces themselves. To say we were running around is an understatement. The day before the opening i was literally phoning anybody i could think of to see if i could get hold of any astroturf. Luckily Guy at Modus creative in Worcester had an old golf mat that his dog was currently using as a bed.
In the end we managed to pull it off. It was a fantastic night so 'big up yourself' Irene Allen and Ann Tonks from Bar Opus for inviting us to display our work, Tom Cullen from i choose Birmingham magazine for publishing our interview and drawing attention to us in the first place and also thanks to Sophie Hedgerwick for displaying her beautiful photography along side ours. You can read the press release for our exhibition here.
